An anti litter week  titled “Don’t Rubbish our Heritage” took place in Kilkenny City as part of  Heritage Week 2010.

On Thursday  the 26th of August  the Kilkenny City  dog mascot handed out HSE information leaflets and pooper scoopers to dog walkers along the Canal and Castle Parade.  the aim was to educate dog owners in relation to the importance of the responsible  disposal of Dog waste.

On Friday 27th of August we had extra cleaning help from Sheamus an enthusiastic street cleaner  and his  fox.    Old and young alike were beguiled by the smart fox and silver tongued street cleaner. We thank   Bui Bolg street performers who  circulated High Street and St Kieran Street  highlighting  the importance of not throwing rubbish on the street and not stubbing cigarettes.
