An anti litter week\u00a0 titled \u201cDon\u2019t Rubbish our Heritage\u201d took place in Kilkenny City as part of\u00a0 Heritage Week 2010.<\/p>\n

On Thursday\u00a0 the 26th of August\u00a0 the Kilkenny City\u00a0 dog mascot handed out HSE information leaflets and pooper scoopers to dog walkers along the Canal and Castle Parade.\u00a0 the aim was to educate dog owners in relation to the importance of the responsible\u00a0 disposal of Dog waste.<\/p>\n

On Friday 27th of August we had extra cleaning help from Sheamus an enthusiastic street cleaner\u00a0 and his\u00a0 fox.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Old and young alike were beguiled by the smart fox and silver tongued street cleaner. We thank\u00a0\u00a0 Bui Bolg street performers who\u00a0 circulated High Street and St Kieran Street\u00a0 highlighting\u00a0 the importance of not throwing rubbish on the street and not stubbing cigarettes.<\/p>\n
