On Saturday the 6th of June 2015 we celebrated the success of Kilkenny City as overall winner in the 2014 Supervalue National TidyTowns Competition for the second time. This major event took place at Kilkenny Castle Park.
We were honoured to welcome the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins and Sabina Higgins to Kilkenny for the unveiling of the National overall 2014 TidyTowns winner’s Plaque.
There was musical entertainment provided by St Patricks Brass and Reed Band in Kilkenny Castle Park to welcome the guests. The day was fine and following the formal event there was a garden party at Butler house.
