Guided walk at Newpark Fen
To celebrate World Wetlands Day, Birdwatch Ireland Kilkenny Branch, with support from Kilkenny County Councils Heritage Office,  lead a guided walk at Newpark Fen on Saturday 1st February @ 11am.

Wetlands Survey

Wetlands Survey talk  took place on  Wed. Jan 22nd in The Heritage Council Offices at 8pm.
Presentation on how well  wetland birds are faring.

KKB Christmas party took place on Tuesday 3rd December 2019 at the Club house hotel! Many thanks to  Ian and  the Club house  for their great hospitality.

South eastern regional awards. Took  place at Terryglass on the 25th November a KKB delegation attended.

KKB annual awards 2019  took  take place at   Springhill Court Hotel Tuesday  29th October 2019, 8pm.  see results on post section.

Conserving threatened bird species:

Presentation hosted by Birdwatch Ireland (Kilkenny Branch):-
Conserving threatened bird species – The work of the NPWS presented  by Padraig Comerford Divisional Manager NPWS, Eastern Division.

Dublin Helix:  National Tidy Towns Awards 2019 A KKB delegation attend the official award presentation on Monday 30th  in the Helix in Dublin. Congratulations to all in our  City  who have assisted in presenting Kilkenny at its best though out the year.

IBAL Latest results: Congratulations to all our volunteers who help out with the regular cleanups. This is particularly the case has Kilkenny is No.1 in the country in the latest IBAL litter survey

Celebrate Water Heritage day  ( Sunday 25th August  9.30am)  a large group met at Canal Square!Bat Boyd chairman of KKB environmental sub committee and Pat Durkin of Birdwatch Ireland  Kilkenny  lead a  biodiversity walk along the river Nore.

End July 2019 – was the last  Balsam pull of season.
Thank you  to all who attended  the very successful Balsam pulls over the summer.

Listowel national award day A KKB delegation attended the official award presentation on Saturday  25th in Listowel. Congratulations to all in Listowel for the wonderful day.
