Following their recent upgrade the premises has been provided with attractive new building and paving finishes, planted trees and street furniture. This includes spaces for bicycles near the entrance which are well used. The 2018 TidyTowns adjudicator also commented on the high standard that the bring bank area is kept. |

This element was cancelled for 2018 due to the hose pipe ban, the requirement to save water and the unprecedented extreme drought conditions during the summer. The private gardens competition will resume in 2019.

“The judges were amazed by the extent of work which has been completed over the last number of years to improve this estate. The judges were very impressed by the large meadow, variety of trees, the fruit trees, wild flower planting, colourful flower area and also the composting area. The judges found the estate litter free. The TidyTowns adjudicator 2018 was also impressed with the sending being undertaken to provide suitable all-weather footpaths through the meadow.
