Keep Kilkenny Beautiful visit to Westport. Congratulations to Westport Tidy Towns for hosting the 2017 TidyTowns Conference. There was wonderful weather over the weekend.
Kilkenny City celebrated at Hotel Kilkenny to recognise and acknowledge all of the hard work undertaken throughout Kilkenny during the last year. The Annual Awards 2014 under many categories were presented. Our Chairman David Fitzgerald thanked all in our City who worked together as a Community to achieve for Kilkenny City the overall National Tidy Towns Award 2014 as Ireland’s Tidiest Town.
Woodies DIY Kilkenny has joined forces with Keep Kilkenny Beautiful to enhance our City and County.
Generous sponsorship of Bulbs by Woodies has facilitated the distribution by the KKB of a colorful range of flowering bulbs to primary and secondary Schools and other groups throughout our City and County.
These included St Patrick’s boys school, John of God, St Canice’s, St John’s senior, Kilkenny College, the Model school, the City Vocational School on New street and the SOS on the Callan Rd.
The KKB also cooperates with Tidy town’s committees through out County Kilkenny. Flowering bulbs were distributed by the KKB in January to Goresbridge, Thomastown, Coon, Urlingford and Inistoge Tidy Towns Committees to help give spring and summer colour.
