A lot can happen with social distancing restrictions and a 5km limit. In the last few days the grass has started to grow the tree and fruit 
buds are getting greener and the birds are getting more vocal. The last of the tree slips are getting planted and the community orchards and fruit planting is ongoing. The Acorn project is going ahead full steam with the Kilkenny Forrest School. Why not join in and help with Keep Kilkenny Beautiful.

Congratulations to all our businesses and our County Council for creating a colorful light filled Christmas atmosphere in our City. Thanks to all our volunteers who have worked hard this year to improve our environment, increase and protect our biodiversity and also Keeping Kilkenny Beautiful …..(notwithstanding Covid 19)…….

Newpark Marsh was the meeting point for our Saturday work groups, trimming and planting weeding and painting, congratulations to all for the hard work through out our city.
With delicious wild cherries, blackcurrents and strawberries, and many wild flowers the summer can be enjoyed in Kilkenny
