Nationwide in Kilkenny

Keep Kilkenny Beautiful were very pleased to welcome Mary Kennedy and the Nationwide team  to Kilkenny.

Some of the many attractions of our Beautiful city were visited. This  included  the wonderful boardwalk  and the river  Nore linear park   part of which extends from  Kilkenny city centre  out to Ossory pedestrian bridge. The walk forms a loop along both river banks and is very popular with walkers, joggers and cyclists. There is also a branch of the walk all of the way to Bennettsbridge along the river Nore.

The Nationwide programme on Kilkenny is planned to be broadcast by  RTE1 on  Wednesday 14th  September, do not forget to tune in!river nore loop river nore valley pedestrian bridge

Kilkenny County Hall gardens look wonderful!

Our County Hall looks fantastic in the winter sun. Extensive work is under way   on the attractive riverside gardens and paths. The River Nore walk also goes through  the grounds.  There is a free car park in the grounds at the weekend where you can  start a wonderful river and city walk.

Kilkenny leads again as a wonderful place to visit!

The 30 most beautiful towns in Europe were selected by the Japanese Association of Travel Agents (JATA), as  a recommendation to Japanese visitors  of wonderful places to visit in Europe. Kilkenny City looks forward to welcoming  all our visitors.
