Colourful bulbs being planted for everyone in our City

To celebrate the Launch  of our 2013 New Year Tidy towns campaign the   KKB are currently working with volunteers from many of our City’s over  70 resident associations to complete the planting of some  25,000 bulbs   throughout our City.  A bulb for each of our citizens. In the spring as the colorful flowers bloom we will be  able to  see the fruit  of the  extensive planting which has been undertaken over the  the last few months. these include  many  Daffodils, Tulips, Iris, Anemone,  Dahlias  and Crocus.

There is still some late planting underway.  If your Kilkenny City  Residents association wants to help  contact us at info@keepkilkennybeautiful.com

The KKB have received considerable help from Ossory Youth and their “You Think” Youth group. The current project includes the painting of hoardings on a derelict site located at Walkin street. This will improve the environment for the residents in the area. The group has a strong interest  on what is going on in Kilkenny.  They have a motto of “Think, Talk, Do”.  the group is lead by Patrick Bookle Youth Leader.
