Winning the War on Litter
Kilkenny is looking even more beautiful. Last Thursday evening KKB joined volunteers including many from the The Butts area to do a clean up around The Butts and St. Canice’s Church area. The area has been so well maintained that everyone arrived back before the hour was up as there was so little rubbish. THIS is the result that KKB is looking for! Well done to all involved.

Big thanks to the Kilkenny Bahai community
The Keep Kilkenny Beautiful motto of “Working Together, Winning Together”, was seen in action last week as members of Kilkenny religious Bahai community saw 10 members take on a painting project in Kilkenny City. Many thanks to this hard working energetic group.
If you wish to register your group with Keep Kilkenny Beautiful to help your community feel free to contact KKB on 086 2514041 or mail@keepkilkennybeautiful.com
Well done to Kilkenny Sub Aqua Club
The Sub Aqua Club did more than their fair share of helping keep their city beautiful with a huge effort from their members in cleaning up the river Nore during the week. Our river Nore is one of our city’s amazing resources and this group of dedicated volunteers collected much as a result of others not appreciating it. Throwing rubbish in the river does not make it disappear!!!!!!
Many thanks to SOS
SOS on the Callan Road are busy again. This group of dedicated Kilkenny residents have taken on the task of keeping the Callan road up to standard for the summer. They will now be eligible to enter the draw for the Bruce Springstein tickets as part of the Bruce Spring-Clean. Best of luck.
Why not consider helping them on their weekly clean-up or on any other KKB clean-up.
New Bag to help us bag this years Tidy Towns
The Cats Out of the Bag… well at least on it!
Yesterday saw the launch of the County Councils and KKB new initiative to get more people involved in keeping their own areas clean. The black and amber bags are the perfect size for minor litter on approach roads, or if you can just walking or on the bike.
Why not join those who are helping keep Kilkenny as beautiful as it should be.
