Our new sustainable Roundabout at Hebron is currently looking magnificent.
The plants and flowers create waves of colour which welcome visitors to our city when driving from the Motorway.
The new Callan road city pop up park development has commenced. There is a 2 year programme of works and events planned. Invasive weeds are being removed. An insect reserve and wild flower garden area is to be protected. A survey of existing plants has been undertaken. Initial grass cutting of access paths and cleaning took place on mid summers day and this was followed by a KKB pop up BBQ!
As part of the KKB pilot estate development project Sycamores and Aylesbury residents association hosted a planter basket demonstration undertaken by Stuart Day of the KKB. The estate was recipient of the overall KKB Tidy Towns Estate award in 2013. Congratulation to all who took part in arranging the event.
There was a large gathering to review progress on the conservation work being undertaken at St Mary’s Church Graveyard. The Open Day was organised to give an opportunity to meet with the stonemasons, conservation specialists and archaeologists working on the project.
